Federal Parliament’s Budget Session Begins Today

The budget session of Nepal’s Federal Parliament is set to begin today with a joint sitting of both houses of Parliament.
According to Federal Parliament Secretary-General Padhya Prasad Pandey, the joint meeting will commence at 4 pm on Sunday.
During the meeting, Ram Chandra Poudel will present the government’s policies and programmes for the upcoming fiscal year in accordance with Article 95 of the Constitution of Nepal.
Members of the Federal Parliament have been requested to arrive at the House of Representatives chamber (Multipurpose Hall) at Singha Durbar before 3:45 pm for the joint session.
The budget session is considered crucial as the government prepares to unveil its annual policies, priorities and budget for the next fiscal year.
