US-Iran Deal to Conditional Two-week Ceasefire

The United States and Iran have agreed to a conditional two-week ceasefire, marking a pause in escalating war between the two countries.

US President Donald Trump has confirmed the deal, stating that American military objectives had been achieved. He added that the agreement was reached with the mediation from Pakistan.

Iranian officials also confirmed the ceasefire, saying it followed US acceptance of their key demands. It is said that Iran agreed to open Strait of Hormuz

International media outlets have independently reported that two-week ceasefire is in effect.

The agreement comes after President Trump had earlier warned Iran to finish overnight.

Following news of ceasefire, global oil prices declined.
