Aryal Elected Speaker of HoR

Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSS) vice-president and lawmaker Dolprasad DP Aryal has been elected Speaker of the House of Representative unanimously. 

Aryal was elected during today’s meeting of parliament. 

During the meeting, after the proposer and seconder of the candidate presented their remarks, the session—being chaired by senior member Arjun Narasingh KC—formally announced Mr. Aryal’s unopposed election.

The next meeting of the House will be held on Monday at 1:00 PM.
