Vote Counting to Begin from Midnight in Jhapa

The ballot boxes from the concerned polling stations are being supplied to the Offices of the Returning Officers in Jhapa district. Currently, the transportation of the ballot boxes is taking place after the voting concluded at 5:00 pm today.

District Election Officer of Jhapa Tulsi Nepal said that vote counting will begin as per the decision of the all-party meeting that will take place after the collection of the entire ballot boxes.

Nepal added that vote counting will begin from midnight today.

As per the preliminary report, the district recorded nearly 65 percent voter turnout.

According to the District Election Office, the voting concluded in all five constituencies in the district in a peaceful manner. (RSS)
