Nepal Loses to England by 4 Runs in Thrilling T20 World Cup

Nepal lost its opening match against England in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 by 4 runs.
England beat Nepal by four runs in close-thriller.
Chasing the target of 185 runs set by England, Nepal batted energetically and secured 180 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs.
For Nepal, Dipendra Singh Airee scored 44, Rohit Poudel 39 and Kushal Bhurtel added 29 runs whereas Lokesh Bam remained unbeaten on 39 runs.
Earlier, Harry Brook and Jacob Bethell slam 50s to get to 184/7 from 20 overs after England skipper Harry Brook won the toss and opted to bat first against Rohit Paudel’s Nepal in match five of the ongoing T20 World Cup at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
