Bangladesh, India competing for SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship Title

Bangladesh and India will meet in the final of the SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship on today in Pokhara.

The final is scheduled to take place at the Pokhara-based International Football Stadium at 2:00 pm on February 7.

Bangladesh, the winner of the 2025 Championship, secured a place in the final with a perfect record, winning all three matches in the league phase.

India, with two victories and six points, was qualified for the final as the league-phase runner-up.

The round-robin league-based championship has been underway since January 31.

Bangladesh defeated Bhutan 12–0 in their opening match, beat India 2–0 in the second match, and overcame host Nepal 4–0 in the third.

India, meanwhile, defeated Nepal 1–0 in their first match, lost 2–0 to Bangladesh in the second, and secured an 8–0 win over Bhutan in their final league match.

This is the first time Pokhara has hosted the SAFF Women’s Championship, which is being organized by the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) in coordination with the South Asian Football Federation. (RSS)
