Mahabir Pun Resigns as Education Minister

Minister of Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun resigned from his post on Tuesday.

It is said that Pun resigned in order to become a candidate for the upcoming election of house of representative scheduled for March 5, 2026.

On Monday, two other ministers also stepped down to run as candidates.

According to the Election Commission, today is the deadline of candidacy nominations.
