RSP and UML Cadres Clash in Jhapa

A clash erupted between the supporters of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and the CPN-UML in Damak, Jhapa.

It is said that the incident happened after the RSP supporters raised slogans against UML Chair KP Sharma Oli.

Rapper-turned former Mayor Balendra Shah ‘Balen’ arrived in Damak, Jhapa, to nominate the candidacy for the upcoming election of House of Representatives scheduled for March 5, 2026.

During the process, Balen reached the Election Officer’s office to submit his nomination papers.

Both Balen and CPN-UML Chair Oli are contesting the election from the same constituency.
