Gagan Thapa Sole Candidate for Nepali Congress Leadership

The closed session of Nepali Congress second Special General Convention has started the election procedure to elect party’s new leadership.

General Secretary Gagan Thapa has filed his candidacy for the post of party president.

Thapa registered his nomination for the presidency. 

According to the sources, Thapa is the only candidate to have filed a nomination for leadership.

After the meeting with President Sher Bahadur Deuba ended without a conclusion, the Election Committee has begun the process of electing new leadership.
