Heritage Town Bandipur Attracts Hundreds of Daily Visitors

Bandipur, the scenic hill town in central Nepal, is witnessing a notable rise in tourist arrivals, with daily footfall reaching between 500 and 1,000 visitors.

The picturesque town, known for its preserved Newari culture, traditional architecture and panoramic views of the snowcapped Himalayas, has become a major attraction for both domestic and international travelers.

Locals report a steady increase in visitors in recent months, coinciding with the government-backed Visit Bandipur Year-2025 initiative.

Authorities have highlighted 17 key heritage and cultural sites, including the Mandi Mukundeshwari Wall, temples and natural caves, to encourage longer stays and enhance the visitor experience.
