Nepal has been honored as the Best Destination of the Year for Adventure Tourism at the prestigious India International Travel Mart (ITM) Award Night 2025, held in Pune India.
The award was presented to representatives from the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), including board member Narendra Bhatta and senior officer Narayan Basyal, who accepted the recognition on behalf of the Board.

During the award ceremony, Board senior officer Robin Regmi gave a presentation highlighting Nepal’s diverse tourism attractions, including the Buddha Circuit, Ramayana Circuit and transnational eco-trails, among others, during the destination presentation session.
Through this presentation, Nepal informed the participants about sites listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List, spiritual pilgrimage routes, world-class trekking routes and opportunities for mountaineering and thrilling adventure sports available in Nepal.
“Nepal’s meaningful participation in ITM Pune 2025 is expected to help strengthen Nepal’s relations with the Indian tourism market and promote Nepal as an “All-Season Destination” and a “Destination offering lifetime experiences.”
NTB, in collaboration with 15 leading travel trade companies, curated presentations and promotional materials to enhance Nepal’s visibility at the event.
The three-day ITM event attracted travel trade representatives, tourism entrepreneurs and global tourists, making it an ideal platform for promoting Nepal’s exceptional tourism offerings.
NTB CEO Deepak Raj Joshi expressed his optimism about the event, stating that Nepal’s active participation and the growing interest in the Indian market are key to strengthening the country’s position as a top global travel destination.
This recognition further underscores Nepal’s appeal as a premier adventure tourism hub, drawing both international and Indian tourists to explore its unparalleled natural beauty, cultural heritage and world-renowned adventure activities.
