Clearer Skies Expected Across Nepal as Cyclone Montha Weakens

Cyclone Montha, which originated in the Bay of Bengal is gradually weakening after affecting weather conditions across much of Nepal. While the storm system continues to lose strength.

With this clearer skies are expected to return from today.

According to Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light rainfall and snowfall may still occur in isolated areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces particularly in higher elevations.

Some hilly regions and parts of Madhes Province are likely to remain partly cloudy, while other areas are expected to see improving and mostly clear weather.

Meteorologists say that both the westerly wind system and a low-pressure area over the Arabian Sea are still influencing local weather patterns, contributing to lingering clouds in some regions.

Overall, conditions are forecast to gradually clear nationwide as the remnants of Cyclone Montha continue to dissipate.
