Nepal Taking on Iran in Tri Nation

Nepal is taking on Islamic Republic of Iran today in the Women’s Tri-Nation International Tournament underway in India.

The match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Polo Ground, Shillong, will kick off at 18:15 NST. The teams are meeting after 6 years with Nepal winning the last encounter 3-0.

This is Nepal’s fist match of the tournament while Iran has already secured 2-0 win over the host in its first match. Ahead of the match both head coach Navin Neupane and captain Sabitra Bhandari said they would play for a win.

Nepal, host India and Iran’s national women’s football teams are competing in the tournament organized in the FIFA window.
