One Dies in Mudslide, 300 Houses Waterlogged

Various districts in Madhes Province have recorded rainfall-induced adversities. A woman lost her life in a mudslide occurred at Anpgachhi of Mithila Municipality-11 in the district today. The victim is identified as Kamala Shrestha, 35.

As many as 300 houses are inundated across the province. The rainfall caused damages to private houses and other structures in Saptari, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Bara and Parsa districts.

In the border area of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality and Hanumannagar Kanakalini Municipality of Saptari, 250 houses are inundated. Similarly, 200 houses from Hanumannagar, the south of Koshi Barrage in Saptari, have been waterlogged. (RSS)
