Indefinite Curfew in Dhanusa, Goalbazar of Siraha Under Prohibitory Order

The District Administration Office, Dhanusha has imposed an indefinite curfew in some sensitive areas of the district.

According to the order issued by Chief District Officer Prem Prasad Luintel, the curfew was enforced based on the decision of the District Security Committee meeting held today, effective from 3:30pm today until further notice.

The order states that the curfew has been issued under Section 6 of the Local Administration Act, 2028, and no one is allowed to move around, gather, hold processions, demonstrations, meetings, or sit-ins in the designated areas.

The administration has also warned that anyone who violates the order will be dealt with according to the existing law. According to the administration, the areas where the curfew is in effect include the area from Lakshminiya Haatbazar Chowk to the north to Siurjoda Chowk to the west, from Laxmipur Novwa through 500 meters east of MU Steel on Belouni Road to the National Primary School in the east, from the Nagaraine Municipality area to Nagraine Chowk in the south, and from Siurjoda–Sohni–Manimandap–Nepal Nursery–ISKCON–Janakpur–Dhalkebar Bridge–Bela–Kadari Mosque in the west.

The District Administration Office has urged the general public to fully comply with the curfew order. According to the administration, the decision was made keeping in mind the sensitive situation and peace and security.

Golbazar in Siraha Under Indefinite Curfew

The District Administration Office, Siraha has issued curfew orders in some places of Golbazar municipality in Siraha district considering the possibility of a break down in the law and order situation there.

According to the order issued today by Chief District Officer Surendra Paudel, a curfew has been imposed under Section 6(a) of the Local Administration Act, 2028 and based on the decision of the District Security Committee, considering the recent security situation in the district and the possibility of protests and disturbances disrupting the law and order.

As per the order, the curfew will be enforced in the area from Kaharaha Khola in Ward No. 3 in the east of the East-West Highway to Chaurhawa Chowk in the west, from Sainik Chowk in Ward No. 6 in the north to the area around the Rajakiya Technical Multipurpose Campus in Ward No. 4 in the south.

The District Administration Office has announced that the curfew will stay in effect from 2pm today until further notice.

The administration has appealed to the general public to cooperate in maintaining the district’s peace and security by fully complying with the curfew orders.

They have also warned that if any activities are carried out in violation of the orders, action will be taken according to the existing law.

According to the District Administration Office, security agencies have been kept on alert and surveillance has also been increased in the affected areas. The administration has urged local residents not to go outside their homes except for essential tasks. (RSS)
