Raut Succumbs to Burns at Bir Hospital

A 50-year-old man who attempted self-immolation at his home in Kathmandu has died while undergoing treatment in hospital.

Ashwin Raut, a resident of Buddhanagar, set himself on fire at his residence on Saturday morning, according to police. He later died while receiving treatment at Bir Hospital.

Police in Kathmandu confirmed his death and said further details about the incident are under investigation.
