Government Extends Constitution Amendment Taskforce’s Deadline

The government on Friday, decided to extend the deadline of the task force preparing the constitutional amendment discussion paper until mid-July.
A meeting of the council of minister today in Singhadurbar decided to grant an additional one‑month extension to the task force led by Prime Minister Balendra Shah’s chief political advisor, Asim Shah.
The second major decision directs the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs, and General Administration to implement the 1995 report of the High‑Level Commission on Investigation and Protection of Government and Public Land (known as the Rawal Commission).
Likewise, Ramesh Kumar Dhital of Sindhupalchok as the chairperson of the Accounting Standards Board.
