Fatima Bosch Crowned Miss Universe 2025

Mexico’s Fatima Bosch has been crowned Miss Universe 2025, triumphing in a controversy-hit competition after a Thai pageant director publicly berated her during a pre-pageant meeting, an incident that sparked a contestant walkout and turned Bosch into a global favorite.

The 25-year-old humanitarian was crowned by outgoing titleholder Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark. Thailand’s Praveenar Singh placed second, followed by Venezuela’s Stepwhany Abasali, the Philippines’ Ahtisa Manalo, and Ivory Coast’s Olivia Yacé.

This year’s Bangkok-hosted pageant featured 120 delegates.

In a historic first, Nadeen Ayoub represented the Palestinian people, reaching the top 30.

Hosted by American comedian Steve Byrne and featuring a performance by Thai singer Jeff Satur, the finale saw contestants narrowed to the top five before they faced questions on global issues and empowering young girls.

Bosch’s calm performance and public backing after the earlier dispute ultimately sealed her win. Agencies
