2nd NPL Win for the Kings After 5-Wicket Victory

Biratnagar Kings secured their second straight victory in the Nepal Premier League (NPL), defeating Kathmandu Gorkhas by five wickets at the TU International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur.

Chasing 136 runs, Biratnagar reached the target in 17.1 overs, led by George Munsey’s 36 off 16 balls, with contributions from Martin Guptill (25) and Naren Bhatta (24).

For Kathmandu, Mohammad Adil Alam remained unbeaten on 48, while Ben Charlesworth scored 32.

Marchant de Lange took two wickets for Biratnagar and was named player-of-the-match.

This win moves Biratnagar to second place in the points table with 4 points from 2 matches, behind Sudurpaschim Royals on run rate.

Kathmandu remains third with 2 points.

In the day’s earlier match, Karnali Yaks defeated Lumbini Lions by 9 wickets.

Biratnagar will next face Janakpur Bolts, while Karnali Yaks take on Sudurpaschim Royals on Monday.
